Mephiles and the Time Eater were looking their white, lifeless world, frozen in time.
“I can’t believe that managed to trick those fools!” Mephiles laughed. “Nega had the Jeweled Scepter trapped in his base, which allowed us to control time! When we go to the other world, we’ll need the Master Emerald!”

Sonic’s world, the fight between Shard and Gamma

As Shard and Gamma ran out of the workshop, Nicole followed them, only to lose sight of them.

It didn’t matter where Gamma shot, Shard was always too fast. Gamma was heavily damaged to the point where he couldn’t even stand up.
“Chance of surviving: 0%,” Gamma moaned.
“Now time to finish him off,” Shard thought, “But… if I do this, what if that other A.I. doesn’t like me!” Shard then shouted, “I don’t want to do this!”
“Then why not betray Robotnik?” Gamma asked.
“Some coding hurts me if I try!” Shard said. “By the way, who was that other A.I.?”
“Nicole? Why do you ask?”
“She get rid of any virus you had, correct? Maybe she could get rid of that code!”
Gamma had already short circuited, which made Shard feel guilty.
“What was the point of giving me emotions again?”

Nicole caught up, only to see a destroyed Gamma and Shard just sitting there. Maybe she could short circuit Shard with his back turned. She walked over very quietly until she heard a voice.
“Go ahead. Put an end to me,” Shard said.
“Um… you have an emotion mod, don’t you?” Nicole asked.
Shard signed, “Yeah, I have no idea why if I was supposed to be a heartless killing machine.”
Nicole kind of felt sorry for him.

“You killed Gamma, didn’t you?” Nicole said.
“I didn’t want to, I have some coding that hurts when I disobey Eggman! Gamma made me want to be good.”
“Maybe I can delete that coding,” Nicole said, she wirelessly connected herself to Shard’s coding. “Eggman’s put some kind of password in your coding! I can’t do anything until we have the password!”
“You’ll help me even though I killed Gamma?” Shard asked, confused.
“Just because you do evil things, doesn’t make you evil,” Nicole said. “You’re being forced to do those things. It’s the same as when Eggman turns someone into a robot. There being forced to do evil things.”
Shard stood up, feeling better.
“I don’t know how anyone could code someone as perfect you,” Shard said. Nicole blushed a bit. “I’ll find the password and will return to your workshop!”
Shard flew off as Nicole went back. She saw a bird fly out of Gamma’s  remains.
“Even destroying Gamma wasn’t a bad thing, he freed that poor bird,” Nicole smiled.

When she got back, the others were already there. She decided to keep Shard a secret but tell them that one of Eggman’s robots attacked.
“What happened here?” Silver asked.
“One of Eggman’s robots attacked and destroyed Gamma!” Nicole said.
“Are you alright?” Blaze asked.
“Yeah! I don’t think is was 100% bad Gamma died. It freed a bird from inside! How did your mission go?”
“We found the Master Emerald!” Theta said.
“Since Knuckles is gone from what happened back on Big Swell, we thought that’ll we protect it and take it along with us!” Blaze said.
“Blaze is an emerald guardian herself!” Marine said.
“How are you going to carry something that big?” Nicole asked.
“It seem to be able to change size,” Silver said.

Lost Hex

“So you want us to find these four and bring them to you?” a red Zeit called Zavok, looking at a wanted poster.
“Correct! If you do this, you keep Mobius for yourself! No more live on a planet that is just a bunch of hexagons with part of it missing!” Mephiles said, smiling if he had a mouth.

Final Fortress

“Good work, Shard!” Eggman said as Shard walked in. “I’m planning an attack on the G.U.N HQ, care to join us?”
“Not this time Eggy, I think I may of lost something important that I need to find,” Shard said.
“Why did you give him emotions, boss?” Orbot asked.
“So then he can get a sense of revenge,” Eggman said.
“I’m going to get my revenge, Egghead!” Shard thought.
